But don't just take Peale's word on how big the Super Bowl has become. The NFL's yearly championship game has become the source of an annual American holiday. Television commercials during the game sell for millions of dollars, media coverage of the event is inescapable, and viewers at home have made Super Bowls four of the all-time top-ten watched television programs.
